The OnePlus 9 series is expected to include three phones this time around ? the OnePlus 9, the OnePlus 9 Pro, and the OnePlus 9E. The OnePlus 9E, said to be the entry-level smartphone in the series, was earlier rumoured to be called the OnePlus 9R or the OnePlus 9 Lite. However, case make Spigen seems to have cleared the doubt, as its website had earlier already listed the three OnePlus 9 smartphones, with the smaller one named as the OnePlus 9E.

In filters for OnePlus smartphones, the Spigen website had listed all the three models of the OnePlus 9 series ahead of their official launch. The third model is listed as the OnePlus 9E ? not the OnePlus 9R or OnePlus 9 Lite. It is not known if Spigen had listed the smartphones based on rumours of if the company has received any official communication from OnePlus, but the OnePlus 9 devices have now been removed from the website. Earlier, noted tipster Evan Blass had claimed that the third OnePlus 9 model will be named the OnePlus 9R, and not the OnePlus 9E. In any case, the entry-level OnePlus 9 smartphone has been rumoured on several times in the past.

The OnePlus 9E is tipped to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 690 SoC and will feature a 6.5-inch display with a 90Hz refresh rate, according to rumours. It is expected to pack 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. In terms of camera, the OnePlus 9E is expected to come with a dual camera setup that is likely to include a 64-megapixel primary sensor and an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle lens. The OnePlus 9E is also rumoured to come with a 5,000mAh battery.
