New Delhi: Chinese smartphone manufacturer Gionee has unveiled two new smartphones- Elife E8- a new variant to its Elife series of smartphones, and the Marathon M5.

The Elife E8 sports a 6-inch, quad-HD AMOLED display that offers 490 ppi pixel density. At its heart is a 2GHz MediaTek’s quad-core Helio X10 processor combined with 3GB RAM. It comes with 64GB of internal storage.

Highlight of Gionee Elife E8 is its astounding 24 megapixel rear camera with True Tone LED flash that can produce images with up to 100 megapixel resolution. Its secondary camera is 8 megapixel. The camera includes lossless zoom and offers 4K video recording ability.

The Android Lollipop-based Elife E8 is powered by a 3500mAh battery and has been priced at 3999 RMB, roughly Rs 41,172.

The Marathon M5 features a 5.5-inch screen and under its hood is a 1.5Ghz MediaTek quad-core processor coupled with 2GB RAM. It includes 16GB internal storage. Its rear camera is 13 megapixel and the front facing camera is 5 megapixel.

The Android Lollipop-based smartphone is powered by two 3000mAh batteries, taking the total capacity to 6000mAh, offering backup for up to four days. It is also capable of reverse charging, which means it can be used as a power bank to charge two cellphones at the same time. It has been priced at 2299 RMB, roughly Rs 23,670.
