Not One But Two Foldables From Apple Could Launch In 2026: Time To Get Excited?
Not One But Two Foldables From Apple Could Launch In 2026: Time To Get Excited?
Apple has been one of the last brands yet to enter the foldable battle in the market but the next two years will define its fortunes.

Apple iPhone 16 launch is just a few weeks away now but we are already looking far into the future, a future where the company enters the foldable battle. Apple is tipped to launch the Flip iPhone model sometime in 2026 which means you could see the iPhone 18 launch event have a big foldable surprise that year.

But latest updates claim the company could have two foldables in its lineup by 2026, which includes a iPad-Mac hybrid. This new device is claimed to feature a gigantic 18.8-inch screen in the unfolded state that makes it bigger than most laptops that you get in the market.

The details about the new foldable Apple product comes via Jeff Pu who is an analyst with Haitong International Securities Group. Pu also claims that the iPad-Mac hybrid will be the first Apple foldable to be unveiled, sometime in Q2 2026, and the clamshell-style iPhone will roll out after that.

Samsung has been around in this space with the Galaxy Z Flip version and the six-gen model came out recently. But it seems Apple wants to take its time rather than push a product in a hurry.

It is being mentioned that the development of the flip iPhone has started this year, which means the two-year cycle suggests the launch timeline of 2026 could be on the mark. Having said that, we are surprised to hear that Apple wants to start its entry into foldables with a flip version rather than a full-fledged fold.

Apple has reportedly signed up with Samsung Display division for the foldable panels that will be offered on its foldable iPhone in the next few years. We are excited to see how iOS and other Apple platforms evolve and adapt to the foldable form factor.
