Oppo India has revealed that the Oppo F19 series will launch in India on March 8. The new Oppo F-series will comprise the Oppo F19 Pro and Oppo F19 Pro Plus 5G. As their names suggest, the upcoming smartphones will succeed Oppo F17 series from last year that includes the vanilla Oppo F17 and Oppo F17 Pro. The Oppo F19 series launch event will begin at 7 PM IST, the Chinese tech company announced on Twitter. Oppo fans can watch the event live across Oppo’s Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube channels.
The promotional poster also reveals that the company has collaborated with India musician Nucleya (Udyan Sagar) for the promotion of the upcoming smartphones. Other details on the Oppo F19 Pro and Oppo F19 Pro Plus remain scarce, though one of the smartphones is revealed to pack quad rear cameras. Notably, Oppo F19 Pro Plus will come with 5G connectivity support. Recently, the phones’ microsite went live that clarifies the new Oppo F19 series will retail via the e-commerce platform apart from the Oppo online and offline channels. Tipster Sudhanshu has too leaked some details on the Oppo F19 Pro and Oppo F19 Pro Plus, including the alleged pricing. The leaked information was posted in multiple tweets (now deleted).
The Oppo F19 Pro will reportedly be priced around Rs 20,000 for the 6GB + 128GB variant, while the Oppo F19 Pro Plus is said to be priced around Rs 25,000 for the 8GB + 128GB model. In terms of specifications, the tipster claims that the Pro model will feature a 6.4-inch AMOLED display and the octa-core MediaTek Helio P95 SoC. The Oppo F19 Pro could come with a quad rear camera setup that includes a 48-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro shooter. At the front, the phone may pack a 16-megapixel selfie shooter.
On the other hand, the Oppo F19 Pro Plus is said to carry the same display but with the MediaTek Dimensity 800U SoC under the hood. It will reportedly include a triple rear camera setup, comprising a 64-megapixel primary camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. At the front, the Oppo F19 Pro Plus is said to come with a 32-megapixel selfie shooter. The tipster adds that the phone would feature an in-display fingerprint scanner and a 4,500mAh battery that supports 30W fast charging. Readers are advised to take the information with a pinch of salt as Oppo is yet to specify the features and specifications of the upcoming smartphones.
