To celebrate the arrival of 2016 around the world, when Twitters users type a Happy New Year hashtag, a one-off firework emoji will be displayed.
A firework emoji has been created by Twitter that will be unlocked when the hashtag #HappyNewYear, in one of 35 languages, is used.
To celebrate the arrival of 2016 around the world, when Twitters users type a Happy New Year hashtag, a one-off firework emoji will be displayed.
Twitter has also partnered with the Times Square Alliance (@timessquarenyc) and Countdown Entertainment to set up giant screens around Times Square which will then publish all tweets and videos finishing with #HappyNewYear in one of the given languages during the historic ball drop. The content will be shared with broadcasters around the world.
