Among many ITV shows, Saath Nibhaana Saathiya has been one that has kept viewers glued to the screens for years. Many sequences from the programme have gone viral throughout the years, and some have been turned into hilarious memes. Back in 2020, a popular dialogue from the show “rasode mein kaun tha” took the internet by storm after Yashraj Mukhate’s composition. In the latest, a background score of the show “La La La” has become a viral sensation. Mohammad Nazim, who played the lead Ahem in the show and is featured in most of these memes, shared his reactions to the content being circulated.
On being asked what he thinks of the viral memes surrounding his character and show, Mohammad Nazim told Etimes, “I express my positive reaction with ‘’lalala’, but I’m cautious due to my sister, sister-in-law, and fans reading my content. Despite the video’s silliness, its 40 million views are remarkable.” The actress mentioned that social media plays a crucial role in an actor’s popularity. He remarked, “Intermittent popularity exists but lacks consistent prominence, despite its scale and absence of overwhelming significance.”
The actor also discussed how he is using social media to strengthen his presence as well as promote his upcoming feature by drawing on his Punjabi background. He added, “As an artist, satisfaction stems from the work and interacting with the audience.” Furthermore, when asked if this popularity through memes is helping him professionally, the actor said that he has not encountered situations like this yet, but whenever he attends work meetings, the channel or makers acknowledge his popularity and take it as a positive trait.
Moreover, Mohammad Nazim himself chose to participate in the viral trend and create his own reel. Mohammad’s reel, created in collaboration with his friend Sanjit Asgaonkar, incorporates elements of green tea and the ‘la la la’ song. The caption read, “Ahem Ji Humpe Karo Zara Rehem Ji….Humari important meeting aur Inki green tea, dono hi ekdum La La La hain.”
