Ever heard the tale of parents universally bemoaning their kids’ knack for misplacing water bottles at school? Well, an Instagram content creator decided to tackle this age-old woe in a way that can only be described as, well, peculiar. She especially got a purse-like glass water bottle, rivaling the size of a vegetable bag, for her son. And of course, she documented the entire escapade in a video where she created a fruit-flavoured water for her son’s school.
But was the extravagant purse-like bottle truly worth the effort? Shared on the micro-blogging site ‘X,’ Brianna Weimar, the woman behind @itsgoodbyetwenties, spilled the details of procuring the transparent water bottle and the creative process of crafting the special, flavour-packed water to add a touch of ‘sophistication’ to hydration. Ice cubes, juice, lemonade powder, watermelon, and pineapple flavours, adorned with lemon slices and cranberries—all meticulously tumbled into the ‘purse.’ A straw is the final flourish, and she whimsically suggests her son could flaunt this concoction on his desk and effortlessly ferry it to and from the bus.

As convincing as it may seem, the hashtag ‘Satire’ appended to her caption, “He will not be forgetting this anywhere,” served as a friendly reminder that the entire escapade was a symphony of humor and irony.

Alas, not everyone deciphered the hidden humour, leading to a barrage of jests aimed at the influencer, assuming she was dead serious. “One bump on the school bus and that kool aid is everywhere,” quipped one user. “Man what all them dust and germs… do n the air going into the water lol great job mom,” said another. The third one humorously asked, “What if he accidently drops the purse?”
On the flip side, those who embraced the satire couldn’t help but chuckle at the creative effort. One user applauded, “I know this is satire but if my mom put this much effort into making water for school. I will take it to school every single day! Don’t care about bullies.” Another cheekily jabbed at the oblivious, “The fact u guys can’t tell this is clearly satire.”
