The viral video begins with Giulia and De Luca discussing the Melodi meme, which took the internet by storm. The meme, blending the surnames of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Italy’s Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, gained popularity after Meloni shared a selfie with PM Modi. The duo then went on an auto rickshaw adventure, where De Luca shared his excitement about the unique experience of traveling through Indian streets. During their ride, Giulia asked the ambassador about his favorite Hindi word, to which he replied, “Dhanyawaad, fir milenge. (Thank you, see you later).” They later ate a giant dosa and the ambassador said, “Mujhe nimbu paani bohot pasand hai. (I really like lemonade).”
Sharing the video on Instagram, Italian content creator Giulia wrote, “I loved speaking to the Ambassador of Italy in India and Nepal, Vincenzo De Luca. He reflects on the wonderful time he spent in India.”
