Deepak Abbot, the co-founder of Indiagold, recently shared a wholesome experience he had while selling his multisport GPS watch to a stranger in Kashmir.

We are well aware of the profound impact small gestures can have. At the least, they possess the power to turn around someone’s bad day or, at the very least, bring a smile to their face. Certain gestures carry such wholesome warmth that they linger in our memories, filling our hearts with lasting joy. This time, a heartwarming tale emerged from social media, highlighting the significance of small gestures and the unexpected beauty of human connection.

Deepak Abbot, the co-founder of Indiagold, recently shared a wholesome experience he had while selling his pre-owned multisport GPS watch to a stranger in Kashmir. In December, Abbot took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his intention of selling a Garmin Fenix 7x Solar Sapphire, a luxury multisport GPS watch, at a reasonable price. The tweet featured images of the watch, inviting potential buyers to connect with him.

In a subsequent update, Abbot revealed that the watch found its new owner in Srinagar. However, what made this transaction stand out was not the mere exchange of goods but the thoughtful gesture that accompanied it. Instead of a conventional payment, the buyer sent a generous packet of Kashmiri walnuts and rajma packets as a gift. Abbot was deeply moved by this unexpected act of kindness and shared his sentiments in a post, expressing, “Have no words for such goodness and thoughtfulness. Touched.”

Abbot’s post quickly gained traction, amassing 35,000 views on the social media platform. The heartwarming story struck a chord with users, prompting an outpouring of positive comments and reflections on the beauty of humanity.

User reactions ranged from expressions of admiration to personal anecdotes affirming the existence of kindness in unexpected places.

One user commented, “Good people are everywhere, great people are God sent.”

Another shared a personal memory, saying, “My mom used to buy clothes from some Kashmiri chaps who used to go door to door in Blr. They used to gift walnuts too. Used to feel walnuts were more expensive than the clothes we bought.”

A third user expressed hope, stating, “Such heartwarming stories keep me hopeful about humanity.”

The comments section predominantly focused on commending the anonymous sender and delving into discussions about the significance of kindness.
