'No One Cares': Ticketless People Flood AC 3 Tier in Brahmaputra Express, Passenger Shares Video
Indian train passenger shows how Brahmaputra Express' 3AC coach was flooded by ticketless public, here's how Railways responded.

Trains in India being jam-packed is a tale as old as time, and a recent video shared by a passenger only added more drama to the narrative. In the clip, a supposedly esteemed 3 Tier coach resembled more of a bustling marketplace than a mode of transportation, with barely any space to even take a step, let alone breathe in some fresh air.

Vijay Kumar, a user on ‘X’, decided to share this chaotic scene with the world, showcasing the flooded aisles of the 3AC coach on the Brahmaputra Express at Patna Junction. He recounted, “My family and I had to fight to get into the train & then to get our confirmed seat. AC-3 has been taken over by general passengers. No one cares for any rule.”

The clip quickly spread like wildfire, drawing reactions from all corners. Vijay disclosed how he had booked 8 seats for his family but found only 6 accessible due to the flood of unauthorised passengers. “People with general tickets are also in AC-3 & people without tickets are also in AC-3,” he sighed.

“While talking with some people, I got to know that there are exams going,” he explained, “I understand that this is all due to that, but why can’t @RailMinIndia or Govt. of India take some steps to help students. Introduce some passenger trains or something why always the general public have to suffer. What’s even the use of confirmed ticket?”

And the grievances didn’t end there. Vijay detailed how female members of his family struggled to even reach the restroom, and he continued to update on the dismal conditions at other stations.

Despite lodging complaints with Indian Railways, Vijay expressed frustration: “After 1.30 Hour of nothing my complaint was open by @RailMinIndia & closed without any solution or update. Helpline is just a joke.”

Adding insult to injury, he shared a screenshot of Railway Seva’s response, claiming the matter had been resolved simply because ticket inspectors were asked to crack down on unauthorised passengers. “Matter has been resolved hence matter is closed,” they declared, leaving Vijay and countless others in a state of disbelief.

The post has since gone viral, garnering over 210K views and sparking a conversation about the challenges faced by passengers on Indian trains.
