Australian cricket captain Pat Cummins wished his wife Becky Cummins a happy Valentine’s Day with an adorable post on Instagram. Cummins dropped a couple of photographs featuring his spouse, with a caption, “Super-mum, wife, my valentine and apparently a pro-surfer too. Happy Valentine’s, Becky.” In one of those pictures, the couple was seen enjoying a vacation on a beach, while the other one captured Becky resting her chin on her hands and brimming a soft smile. The post gained a lot of attention from social media users, but one comment elicited a reaction from Cummins.

A fan wrote in the comment section, “I am Indian and I love you your wife.” Cummins came up with a hilarious response to the comment. The Australian pacer replied, “I’ll pass it on to her.” Cummins’ reply went viral with fans posting screenshots of the comment across the Internet.

Pat Cummins has recently been named the ICC Men’s Player of the Year after achieving tremendous success as the captain of the Australian team in 2023. Under his leadership, the Aussies won the World Test Championship (WTC) final in June last year. They notched a dominant 209-run victory over India at the Oval to claim the coveted title.
Cummins-led Australia replicated the success in the ICC ODI World Cup where they triumphed over hosts India in the summit showdown to secure the title for the sixth time. After receiving the Cricketer of the Year award, Cummins told ICC, “It’s a huge honour. It has been a big year, with lots of wonderful team success. To get this individual honour is huge and I am pretty amazed. In terms of individual accolades, it is right up there.”
It will be interesting to see if Pat Cummins remains the captain when Australia go into the ICC T20 World Cup later this year. Michell Marsh has served the leadership responsibility in the recently concluded T20I series against West Indies. Cummins was part of the 15-member squad but did not feature in a single game of the three-match series. He is expected to return in the upcoming T20I series against New Zealand, slated to begin on February 21.
