Omelettes are a delicious and easy-to-make dish that can be enjoyed in countless ways. Be it a French omelette or a Spanish omelette, it is a popular staple breakfast enjoyed all over the world. It doesn’t require a kitchen full of ingredients; all you need is an egg, spices, butter or oil, and salt—that’s it! But what’s actually challenging is flipping an omelette, as it requires good timing and the right technique to avoid tearing, sticking, or breaking the omelette.
Recently, a video has caused a stir on the micro-blogging site Instagram after a woman came up with a very unique idea to tackle this problem. But it seems like it failed to impress the internet.
The now-viral video opens to show a woman placing two pieces of long threads in a cross-shaped pattern on the griddle. She then pours the omelette batter, made with chopped vegetables, egg, spices and salt into the pan. Once the omelette is well-cooked on one side, the said woman instead of using a ladle to flip the dish, holds the corners of the threads and flips the omelette effortlessly. Upon cooking, the woman removes the threads from the omelette and enjoys her dish.

Many social media users were left laughing out loud after watching this hilarious video, while others chimed into the comment section and suggested the user not to try this technique again. Also, there were some users who found the video quite helpful, for the fact that they found it difficult to flip the omelette.

A satirical comment read, “Kitne tejaswi log hai humare paas “We have so many brilliant people.)”
