Ever been asked if you’d like some flattened yellow-coloured rice mixed with caramelized onions, roasted peanuts, and fried curry leaves? Confusing, isn’t it? Recently, a social media user named Ashish Singh took to the X platform and posted about his meal using the exact same description. Adding a touch of humour to Ashish’s post, Swiggy Instamart quickly jumped in and responded with a witty retort.
Ashish’s post read, “Having flattened yellow-colored rice tossed with caramelized onions, roasted peanuts, and fried curry leaves. ”Swiggy Instamart’s reply simply said, “Poha hi toh bolna tha (You could have just said ‘poha’).”

This hilarious banter caught a lot of attention on social media, with many expressing their amusement. In addition to Swiggy Instamart reply, several other users also commented on Ashish’s fancy description on Poha.
“Poha doesn’t deserve this eloquence,” one user commented.
“Poha kha rahe ho kya (Are you having poha?),” asked another. To this, Singh replied, “Ha (Yes),” using both laughing and crying emoji.
This is not the first time Swiggy Instamart posted about Poha. Over two years ago, the grocery delivery platform posted a quirky question for its followers on X. The question read, “Why is it called poha and not flat rice?” However, the platform later labelled this inquiry as a ‘rejected tweet’.
Poha is a popular breakfast dish in various regions of India, including Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and parts of Rajasthan. It is often enjoyed with a cup of tea in many states.
Swiggy Instamart is known for its knack for witty and sassy responses, delighting its followers with humorous twists. In a recent instance, the platform showcased its comedic side by giving a hilarious spin to a scene from the popular Bollywood movie Chup Chup Ke. The scene in question features actor Rajpal Yadav engaging in the task of washing clothes.
Swiggy Instamart gave a creative twist and posted a photo collage featuring this scene and accompanied it with a clever caption: “Bro promoted Tide like nobody else ever could.”

In another post, the grocery platform posted a debatable question for its followers about whether tea’s ideal companion is paratha or biscuits of the popular brand Parle G. Many users commented on their preferred choice while many expressed a fondness for both options.
