Marriage is no piece of cake, and with time, women find their lives changing like day and night. While marriage brings with it its own set of responsibilities for both partners, it is often the woman who faces the brunt and sees drastic changes after marriage, depending on their partner. Pointing out one such change, a professor and TEDx speaker, Dr. Falguni Vasavada, recently became an online sensation with her infectious positivity and uplifting content. Her latest video advising women to think about what they like and cook their favourite food has gained appreciation from social media users who find it relatable.
Dr Falguni Vasavada shared the video on Instagram on March 17 encouraging women to prioritise their own happiness and cast aside guilt and societal expectations. In the now-viral video, she is seen preparing a fruit salad along with which she explains how women with time sometimes forget their own favourite things or avoid them because other people in the house don’t like it.
While she mixes the ingredients of her fruit salad, she says that she has seen trends on social media of women sharing videos of preparing lunch for their husbands or kids. As the video progresses, Dr Vasavada sweetly asks, “Khud ke liye kab kuch banaoge (When will you make something for yourself?)”

I forgot about my favourite food in my 6.5 years of marriage and now I realise the importance of self-love. Thank you for reminding me once again,” expressed an Instagram user.
