Reacting to the video, an Instagram user said, "This it's not cool, people will try to imitate it even if it's fake."

A video of a young boy cooking an elaborate gourmet meal while driving is creating a buzz on Instagram. The video shows a young man named Jack Carden cooking Beef Wellington while simultaneously driving his car. Jack minces vegetables and cooks them, seasons the beef, wraps it in pastry sheets, and air fries it while keeping one hand on the steering wheel. Supposedly as a joke, Jack straps the air fryer with a seat belt before using it. By the end of the ride, he cuts through a perfectly cooked Beef Wellington. He parks his car in a scenic spot and enjoys his meal.

This video has gathered over two lakh likes since it was posted on January 24. Jack captioned his strange and dangerous cooking video as “I can cook too.”

Jack has over two lakh Instagram followers and mostly shares art-related posts. Even as his video went viral, many people called him out for promoting dangerous behaviour and neglecting road safety norms that could put him and others in danger.

Commenting on his video, an Instagram user wrote, “Imagine a loved one gets hit by a car and then you find out it’s cos someone was cooking beef wellington at the wheel. That’s pretty cool man all is forgiven.” Another one said, “That’s so dangerous.” “Endangering people’s lives is not cool,” wrote another.

An Instagram user argued that even if this video is staged, it still promotes reckless behaviour. Making this point, the person wrote, “This it’s not cool, ppl will try to imitate it even if it’s fake.”

However, some people took a more lighthearted approach towards his video, an Instagram user remarked, “My Uber eats driver when I add beef Wellington to my order last minute.” Someone else joked, “If he hits my car at least we would have some nice food while the insurance comes…”

In response to the comments, Jack wrote, “Beef Wellington videos kept getting more and more ridiculous on tiktok, evermore fashionable, evermore abstracted. I decided to satirise it, by cooking a beef wellington in a manner that risked my life and that of those around me.”

In another comment, he wrote, “Btw I didn’t actually put anyone at risk dw.”

One of his followers wrote, “I waited for the whole video for you to do something really dark and “cut your hand” and bleed on the car and crash and do something related to your art, but it actually ended up being a really straight forward absurd tik tok video that had an oddly good execution??”
