In the now-viral video, Andre Ortolf can be seen standing behind a wooden table with a jug full of tomato sauce kept beside him. He is dressed in an all-black outfit. In a matter of seconds, he drinks the whole sauce through a straw. The moment he’s done, he raises both hands and giggles to show that the record now belongs to him.
Surprisingly, Andre Ortolf holds numerous food-related world records, including eating the most Marmite in one minute, eating the most jelly with chopsticks in one minute, eating the most yoghurt in one minute, slicing the most cucumbers from a person’s mouth with a sword, eating the most mashed potatoes in one minute, consuming the most soup in 30 seconds, eating the most chocolate spread in one minute, and many more.
“I decided to break records because I needed a challenge in my life. I like to overcome boundaries and train to go further and further and further,” Andre Ortolf said to GWR as quoted by NDTV.
Apart from breaking all the food-related records, Andre Ortolf also holds a number of other records, according to Guinness World Records (GWR): the quickest time for a team of two to assemble a chess set; the maximum number of tennis balls bounced and caught while blindfolded in a minute; the maximum number of single garland passes in a minute; and the maximum number of garland exchanges by a pair in a minute.
