Woman Gives Birth In McDonald's Parking Lot, Names Her Son 'McFlurry'
The couple made an emergency stop at their local McDonald's parking lot and called the emergency services.

In a surprising turn of events, a Wisconsin, US based McDonald’s branch became an unexpected delivery room when Analysia Beck couldn’t make it to the hospital on time. The woman initially dismissed her contractions feeling it was mild but the situation escalated quickly when her water broke unexpectedly. Racing to the hospital in the middle of the storm, Analysia and her husband, Daniel, found themselves in a terrible situation as the pain intensified. With the snowstorm complicating their journey, the couple made an emergency stop at their local McDonald’s parking lot and called the emergency services. While at the parking area, the woman felt an irresistible urge to push. With no other options, she decided to give birth to their baby after three powerful pushes in the back of their SUV, assisted by emergency services over the phone.

In a conversation with USA Today, the mother of three explained, “The intensity and pain of these contractions was new to me, and I thought something was wrong. I did feel like the weather would make the drive longer and more dangerous, but I thought we’d still make it to the hospital quickly at first. The baby was coming so fast and my body couldn’t wait any longer to push. The paramedic barely made it, but they were there to catch him.”

Following the dramatic delivery, Analysia Beck and her husband Daniel were relieved to find their newborn son, Micah Daniel, in good health after the initial concern about his appearance due to the cold vehicle and snow. The baby boy passed all required tests at the hospital. Shortly after their arrival at the hospital, the local police and paramedics joined in to provide additional assistance. Born at 4:12 AM and weighing 8.6 pounds, the couple nicknamed their baby boy McFlurry. Meanwhile, EMT Thomas Malak, present during the delivery, gave the newborn an additional cute nickname, Baby McNugget.

Beck said, “I’m healing much quicker than I would have expected after that situation, I was up and walking almost right away with minimal pain and I don’t even feel like I had a baby. Our little McFlurry has been the sweetest treat.”

The unexpected birth of Micah Daniel was not only surprising due to its unplanned location but also because he arrived two weeks ahead of his due date, as reported by Fox News. Brianna Baltutis, a first responder with the Hales Corners Fire Department, was initially dispatched for a woman in labour, though she and her partner would be transporting the mother to the hospital. However, to their surprise, they didn’t think that the baby would arrive even before they reached the McDonald’s parking lot. Recollecting the experience, Baltutis feels blessed for being part of such an incredible story and highlighted that not every night on the job concludes with such happy outcomes.
