New Delhi: Pakistan's National Security Advisor Sartaj Aziz on Sunday accused India of acting as a "regional superpower" and asserted that his nuclear armed country knew how to defend itself.

In an article published on Dawn.com, Aziz was quoted saying "Modi's India acts as if they are a regional superpower…we are a nuclear-armed country and we know how to defend ourselves."

Aziz's comments came after CNN-IBN spoke exclusively to him where he said that India's insistence on discussing only terror and nothing else was meant to avoid discussion. He, however, had said that a meeting between Pakistan Rangers and Border Security Forces would go ahead as it was necessary to ease tensions on Line of Control (LoC).

Aziz termed India's evidence against Pakistan as ‘propaganda' and reiterated having evidence of RAW's involvement in fuelling terrorism in Pakistan. NSA-level talks between the countries were called off after differences emerged over the Ufa agreement.

While India advised Pakistan not to talk to Hurriyat leaders and restrict the talks to terrorism, Pakistan on the other side wanted the talks to include discussions on Kashmir.
