Indian Doctor In US Charged With Recording Hundreds Of Nude Videos Of Children, Women
Oumair Aejaz, an Indian doctor who moved to the US in 2011, is also accused of recording sexual encounters with unconscious or sleeping women.

40-year-old Indian doctor, Oumair Aejaz, who was arrested earlier this month for allegedly recording hundreds of nude photos and videos of children and women over several years has been kept in a US jail on a $2 million bond.

Aejaz placed hidden cameras in bathrooms, changing areas, hospital rooms and even his own home with which he recorded children as young as 2 years old while they were undressing or were undressed.

US news media outlets said Aejaz had no criminal history and it was his wife who came forward with the disturbing materials and reached out to the cops.

He also allegedly recorded sexual encounters with numerous women who were unconscious or asleep, according to the Oakland County Sheriff.

Sheriff Mike Bouchard told news outlets that it will take months to fully investigate Aejaz’s offences and said that authorities fear there are many more victims. They are reviewing thousands of videos found in his Rochester Hills home. Rochester is a city in the US state of Michigan.

“The victimisation is so broad and the perversion so great, we’re just beginning to wrap our arms around it. Disturbing on so many levels,” Mike Bouchard told news outlets.

Since Aejaz’s arrest on August 8 at his home, multiple search warrants have been served. Authorities have seized computers, phones and 15 external devices. Among these, one hard drive contained 13,000 videos, according to Bouchard. There are also concerns that he may have uploaded such content to cloud storage.

On August 13, Aejaz was charged with one count of child sexually abusive activity, four counts of capturing an image of an unclothed person and five counts of using a computer to commit a crime. He is currently held in the Oakland County Jail with a $2 million bond.

Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald stated that Aejaz’s wife recently provided additional materials of concern.

This prompted the sheriff’s office to immediately obtain a search warrant and seize more devices. Investigators are continuing to review what McDonald described as “really jarring, alarming images”.

McDonald said that Aejaz preyed on individuals inside well-respected institutions and hospitals, adding that those institutions have been cooperative in the probe.

Many of the allegations against Aejaz involve him allegedly recording a mother and her children in a changing room at the Goldfish Swimming Club in 2023. He is also suspected of assaulting patients in hospital rooms.

“These are children and moms at a swim school. They’re there to teach their kids to swim because it brings them joy and ensures their safety around water. They were victimised by someone they trusted—a medical doctor,” said Oakland County Prosecutor Karen McDonald.

Aejaz was previously employed at the Henry Ford Macomb Hospital in Clinton Township and Ascension Genesys Hospital in Grand Blanc.

At the time of the allegations, he was contracted as a physician, working at various hospitals.

Aejaz moved to the US from India in 2011 on a work visa. He completed his residency at Sinai Grace Hospital, later working in Alabama before returning to Michigan in 2018.
