New Visuals Show How Close Donald Trump Was To Death At Pennsylvania As Conspiracy Theories Galore

A new close-up footage has emerged which shows Thomas Crooks’ perfectly aimed headshot which could have claimed the life of former US president Donald Trump if he did not tilt his head to show a data set on a display board during his campaign rally in Pennsylvania’s Butler.

The footage, filmed by C3PMeme, a meme creator, and posted by journalist Collin Rugg, shows Trump’s face and head in a gun’s crosshair and him tilting his head as he speaks to the audience.

The footage, made using still and moving images capturing Trump’s gestures at the Pennsylvania rally, shows the former president making a head tilt similar to the one moments later that ended up saving his life when he dodged a bullet, which grazed his ear.

Saturday’s attack — which killed one bystander and left Trump with a bloodied ear — has led to internet sleuths posting alternate angle videos and studying how the Republican contender for the November elections dodged a bullet fired by Matthew Thomas Crook.

“New close-up footage shows that Thomas Crooks’ shot was perfectly centred in the middle of Trump’s head. A combination of Trump tilting his head sideways to look at the graphic on the screen along with him leaning into the microphone, saved him his life,” Rugg said.

Conspiracy Theories Galore

For those who don’t believe their eyes, Trump getting shot, the gunman being neutralised, and all of it being caught on camera, is the just the start of the story.

For some supporters of former President Donald Trump, the failure of the Secret Service to prevent the attempted assassination point to a conspiracy orchestrated by President Joe Biden. For some of Trump’s critics, however, the details of the shooting don’t add up. They wonder if Trump somehow staged the whole thing, a report by the Associated Press said.

Many of the claims about the Trump assassination attempt emerged first on fringe social media platforms like 4chan before migrating to larger sites like X or TikTok where they were seen by far more people.

Bassilian is one of many Republicans now questioning how the suspected gunman, Thomas Matthew Crooks, was able to climb to the roof of a building providing a clear shot at Trump, and whether law enforcement looked the other way to allow the attempt. Bassilian acknowledged that he doesn’t have proof to back up his conjecture. But the Culver City, California, resident said many people will be distrustful of explanations until an independent review of the facts is completed.

“It seems highly suspicious,” Bassilian said of the attack on Trump and the law enforcement response. “Something was going on that was more than a slip up.”
