'Open Admission Of Supporting...': Internet Reacts After Canadian Cop Accepts Khalistan Presence On Its Soil
With the admission of the presence of pro-Khalistani elements in the country, many people pointed out that Canada openly accepted their intent to openly 'support radicalism.'

In the middle of the diplomatic standoff with India over the killing of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, the Canadian police seems to have inadvertently admitted the presence of the radical separatist group on its soil.

The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), during a presser on Monday, said their investigation into Najjar’s killing revealed links between Indian government ‘agents’ and ‘homicides and violent acts’ in Canada. It further accused New Delhi of direct involvement in ‘serious criminal activity’ on its soil.

The room erupted into a frenzy when a journalist asked for clarification on whether the alleged ‘transnational repression, foreign interference, and organized crime’ was specifically targeted at the Sikh Canadian community.

A Canadian cop said that the South Asian community is being targeted by these groups but pro-Khalistani elements in Canada are their ‘specific target.’

“What we have seen is, from an RCMP perspective, they use organised crime elements. It has been publically attributed and claimed by one organised crime group in particular – Bishnoi Group. We believe that the group is connected to agents of the Government of India,” Brigitte Gauvin, Assistant Commissioner of the RCMP.

It comes after the Canadian government expelled six Indian diplomats and linked them to an investigation into the murder of Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. In response, New Delhi recalled its top envoy to Ottawa and expelled six Canadian diplomats from the country in a tit-for-tat action.

By admitting their presence, Canada inadvertently exposed the influence of Khalistani elements within its borders as India continues to maintain its stance against terrorism, not a community.

Internet Reacts To Canada’s Admission

With the admission of the presence of pro-Khalistani elements in the country, many people pointed out that Canada openly accepted their intent to openly ‘support radicalism.’

An X user wrote, “Yes, it’s an open admission of supporting radicalism.” Another user said that India is willing to help Canada by removing Khalistani elements from their land but the North American Country is harbouring separatists for vote bank politics.

A third user wrote, “They had nothing to go on, with elections coming up fast, and even Trudeau’s own MP seems to be plotting to bring down his government to avoid a complete wipeout. This whole drama is being staged for that reason, nothing more.”

When India Called Canada ‘Safe Heaven’ For Terrorists

For long, India has accused Canada of providing ‘safe heaven’ to ‘terrorists and criminal elements,’ referring to Khalistani terrorists, and not doing enough to end their anti-India activities.

After the arrest of three Indian nationals allegedly linked to Nijjar’s murder case in Canada in May this year, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar criticised the Canadian immigration policy.

“Several people with organised crime links from Punjab have been made welcome in Canada. We have been telling Canada that look, these are wanted criminals from India, you have given them visas. But the Canadian government has not done anything,” Jaishankar said.

Canada said last year there were credible allegations that India’s government had links to the assassination in Surrey of ‘Sikh activist’ Hardeep Singh Nijjar. India denied the charges calling it ‘absurd and baseless.’
