Amid the ongoing war in Gaza, an anti-Israel activist in the United States reportedly cornered Hollywood director Quentin Tarantino while he was eating at a New York City restaurant on Saturday.
The New York-based content creator, who is known as “Crackhead Barney”, marched up the stairs into Che Li restaurant in the Big Apple, where the 61-year-old filmmaker appeared to be sitting and enjoying a meal alone, New York Post reported.

According to a clip posted on her Instagram account on Saturday, she is seen yelling at the legendary Hollywood director: “Why are you a Zionist piece of s–t?” “Going to Israel?” she presses him, as restaurant workers push her from the eatery. The video cuts to Tarantino walking down the stairs to leave where he’s met with a rowdy of pro-Palestine demonstrators yelling at him.
“Watch out guys,” Tarantino says as he tries to shuffle his way through the crowd. His driver can be seen putting his arm around him and leading him to his car amid chanting of “Free Palestine!” The Oscar-winning director is married to Israeli singer Daniella Pick, daughter of iconic Israeli pop musician Svika Pick and lives in Tel Aviv with his wife and their two children, according to The Post.
Hamas’ Oct. 7 attack on Israel left some 1,200 Israelis dead. A week after the unprecedented assault last year, Tarantino reportedly visited a military base in southern Israel and met with Israeli Defence Force troops to raise their morale. The filmmaker showed his solidarity with the Israeli people by making a surprise visit to southern Israel.
