Karva Chauth Katha

One of the most popular legends is the story of Queen Veeravati. Veeravati was a beautiful and devoted wife. On her first Karva Chauth, her seven brothers tricked her into breaking her fast by posing in a mirror as the moon. Soon after breaking the fast, Veeravati received the news of her husband’s death. She was devastated and wept bitterly. A goddess appeared to Veeravati and revealed the truth about her brothers’ trick. The goddess also blessed Veeravati, saying that her husband would be revived. Veeravati’s husband was revived, and they lived happily ever after.
