Audi A6 Avant E-Tron To Debut In Mid-2024: Here’s What To Expect
The EV will have a sleek appearance and state-of-the-art features; many design cues from the prototype have been incorporated into the finished product.

The A6 Avant E-Tron, Audi’s newest electric vehicle (EV), is under development. It was recently spotted conducting road testing.

The German carmaker said at the concept car’s debut that roughly 95 percent of the concept’s design would make an appearance in the production model, as per Hindustan Times (HT) Auto.

The car’s production version is anticipated to be released by the manufacturer sometime in the middle of 2024. Before its launch, a few spy photos of the prototype under test have surfaced online.

The spy photos from Autoblog seem to confirm that the company was right to essentially maintain the concept model’s design in the production model. The final design of the electric wagon incorporates several style cues.

Although the prototype is extensively disguised, it is possible to make out the shape of the electric vehicle (EV). Furthermore, the new A6 Avant E-Tron is anticipated to launch in mid-2024, following the saloon model, though Audi has not yet made an official announcement regarding when it will go on sale.

Audi A6 Avant E-Tron: Check Features, Design, Engine

According to the spy images, the Audi A6 Avant E-Tron’s unique ‘Singleframe’ grille is an enclosed panel that is positioned between two angular battery cooling vents and split digital matrix LED headlights, with the DRLs and primary units located underneath.

In comparison to the current model, the Avant appears to have a longer dash-to-axle ratio and a lower, longer profile. The idea and the styled lower door panels and trim, along with the hockey stick-shaped D-pillar and arcing trim piece above the windows, are included in the final version. As for the side mirrors, even the cameras on sticks are back. On the other hand, the production Avant will have inset handles rather than pop-out flush doors.

Compared to the original concept, the A6 Avant E-Tron’s tail is much more subdued. The diffuser and rear spoiler are still present, but they’ve been greatly reduced in size and visibility. This is anticipated to be fixed in the S and RS models down the road. Though partially covered by vinyl wrap, the taillights are still full-width even though they initially seem different and more like those of current Audi vehicles.

The new Q6 e-tron will serve as inspiration for Audi’s A6 E-Tron’s cabin, which the company has not yet revealed. The Q6 E-Tron is equipped with Audi’s latest “Digital Stage” infotainment system, which consists of a 14.9-inch infotainment system and an 11.9-inch digital driver’s display mounted on a curved glass screen. In addition, the passenger also receives a 10.9-inch touchscreen.

The Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture of Volkswagen Group, which also powers the Porsche Macan EV, will be utilised by the A6 E-Tron. A stated WLTP range of 435 miles (700 kilometres) is anticipated with an 800-volt design and a 100 kWh battery pack, with DC fast charging up to 270kW. Moreover, 469 horsepower and 800 Nm of torque are anticipated to be produced by the dual motor system.
