The Italian supercar manufacturer Lamborghini has recently introduced Urus SE, a plug-in hybrid version of their popular SUV.

This beast joins the Revuelto to become Lamborghini’s second hybrid offering.

Alongside the Urus SE, some other cars were also at the event, including the Audi Q6 L e-tron and the Volkswagen Concept. Here’s a look at the Urus SE’s design, features, performance, powertrain, and more:

Lamborghini Urus SE: Performance and Powertrain

Usually, the hybrid version of supercars comes with a downsized engine, but this is not the case with the new Lamborghini Urus SE. Under the hood, the Super SUV is powered by a 4.0-litre twin-charged V8 engine along with a 25.9-kWh battery pack and an electric motor.

The 4.0-litre twin turbo V8 generates 612 bhp and 800 Nm of torque. The engine of the Urus SE is paired with an electric motor, which is integrated into the 8-speed automatic gearbox, offering an additional 189 bhp and 483 Nm, as reported by HT Auto.

This makes the total system output of the Super SUV to be at 789 bhp and 950 Nm of torque. Lamborghini has claimed that the new Urus SE takes a time of 3.4 seconds to reach 0–100 kmph.

In terms of its drive modes, the new Urus SE has new ones like EV Drive, Hybrid, Performance, and Recharge. These new modes have been an addition to the previously available six drive modes and will be used in conjunction with them. The car uses a 25.9 kWh lithium ion battery and offers a pure electric drive of 60 kilometres.

Lamborghini Urus SE: Design and Features

There have been certain new additions to the design of the new Lamborghini Urus SE, including updated matrix LED headlamps and revised anytime LED lights. The Super SUV has made some tweaks in the front profile as well, taking design inspiration from the Revuelto.

In terms of its interior, the car comes with a revised dashboard, a larger infotainment system, and new switchgear. The SUV will come with 100 body colour options and 47 interior themes.
