Maruti’s much-awaited electric SUV eVX is all set to arrive in the Indian market. It has been reported that the company will remove all the curtains from the car at the start of next year (2025).

Reports suggested that the model might be unveiled during the upcoming Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. It is scheduled to take place in January in New Delhi.

Here’s What Official Says

As per the details shared by Autocar India, quoting the company’s official, who said, “We will officially announce the BEV [born electric vehicle] at Auto Expo in India in January next year, and we hope to launch it in early 2025. We will give priority to Europe first.”

Once launched in India, the local manufacturers’ eVX will be exported to the European market and another international market as well.

Road Presence

Ever since the concept model of eVX was showcased in 2023 at the Auto Expo, it instantly grabbed a lot of attention, all thanks to its sculpted body and aesthetic looks. The vehicle then featured an impressive headlight setup, integrated DRLs and a muscular bonnet.

If rumours are to be believed, eVX might hit the market in the same avatar as it was seen as a concept. However, some cosmetic changes are expected from inside and outside.

Powertrain

Under the hood, the electric SUV is expected to be offered in two battery options – 45kWh and 60kWh. Customers can expect a maximum range of up to 550 kilometres on a full top-up. It also could be offered in all-wheel-drive (AWD) with dual motor and FWD with a single motor.
