To strengthen the company’s growth and take it to new heights, the leading car manufacturer Nissan has appointed Saurabh Vatsa as Deputy Managing Director in India. It has been informed by the brand that he will support the leadership for Nissan’s transformation plan and will prepare the company for the next phase, which was outlined in 2023.
While sharing the news via official release, it has been informed that Vatsa will stay in direct contact with Managing Director Rakesh Srivastava, and will report to him about the business strategies.

Apart from this, the newly added member in Nissan will take care of the business growth, contributing to the company’s Mid Term Plan (MTP), and will support it in achieving desired goals for upcoming years.
As per Nissan, Saurabh joins the company from Stellantis where he was a member of the Stellantis leadership team and spearheaded the Citroen brand since its inception in India. He was responsible for all aspects of the business as Brand Head.
Prior to that, he contributed to General Motors (GM), where he spent over two decades there, and took the firm to new heights. He was also involved in the company’s long term assignments in South Korea along with several key leadership roles within the company.

Speaking on the appointment, Frank Torres, President, Nissan India Operations said, “We are excited to on-board Saurabh at Nissan Motor India as Deputy Managing Director at this crucial juncture for the company as we head into 2024. His appointment underpins our commitment to invest $600m USD (5300 crores INR) in India as part of the Alliance and introduce more products for the Indian consumer as part of the transformation plan. We are certain, the next phase of growth for Nissan is going to be exciting for all of us as we build on the success of the Nissan Magnite.”
