The homegrown carmaker Tata is likely to add an updated version of its top-selling product Punch in India. The company has not yet shared any official details about this. However, some reports suggested that the model might hit the market in the coming month.
Ahead of the official release, some important details about the updated Punch have already surfaced on the internet, giving some insights about both the interior and exterior.
Design
According to the leaks, the vehicle is expected to share the same road appearance as the ongoing model, featuring a bunch of noticeable cosmetic updates from the outside. Customers can expect updated grills at the front, improved front fascia, and enhanced headlight setup. It has been reported that the vehicle might get the trending LED strip at both ends, complemented by round-shaped fog lamps.
Interior
Inside, the cabin is expected to be treated with a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system, which will support all the wireless car connect technology including Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. To attract more customers in the segment, the company might include wireless charging and a decent size sunroof as well.
If rumours are to be believed, the company might introduce new trims and is likely to discontinue a few trims such as Pure Rhythm, Accomplished, Accomplished (Sunroof) and Creative.
Engine
Under the hood, the upcoming Punch will use the same engine options as the current version, featuring the same 1.2-litre petrol unit. It will be offered in both a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT.
