Yamaha has further expanded the Tenere 700 lineup with this Extreme model, only a few months after introducing the Tenere World Rally.
The new Tenere, dubbed the “Extreme," raises the bar for the basic model with greater ground clearance than any of the prior iterations. It features a superior KYB suspension and a variety of dirt-focused chassis components. The Tenere 700 Extreme is the most rugged and off-road-oriented model in the series.
The Tenere 700 Extreme is for off-road enthusiasts, particularly those who have motocross or enduro expertise. With its superior off-road capabilities, this new variation surpasses both the conventional T7 and the T7 World Raid.
Yamaha Tenere 700 Extreme: Features
The Tenere 700 Extreme has fully adjustable premium KYB suspension systems that can be adjusted to provide up to 20 mm of extra travel in both the front and rear, for a total of 9.1 inches (230 mm) and 8.7 inches (220 mm) of bump absorption, respectively. The bike’s overall quality is enhanced by the gold-coloured fork inner tube finish and the long-lasting Kashima coating on the 43 mm forks, which helps to reduce stiction at lower speeds and provide smooth front suspension movement.
In the Tenere series, the Extreme also has the most ground clearance—10.2 inches (260 mm)—beating even the World Rally model. This, as anticipated, also adds to the seat height’s incredible rise to 35.8 inches (910 mm).
The Extreme also gets the highest ground clearance in the Tenere range; dethroning the World Rally variant at 10.2 inches (260 mm). This, as predicted, also adds to the seat height’s incredible rise to 35.8 inches (910 mm).
Yamaha Tenere 700 Extreme: Additional Features
Additional features include a flat one-piece rally seat, a chain guide, lightweight competition-style titanium footrests with a 35 per cent larger surface area, an aluminium radiator protection, and a high enduro front fender with a separate bottom part to shield against dirt and debris. Meanwhile, the gold anodized aluminium spoke wheels complete the look.
Three different themes are available on this vertical 5-inch Thin Film Transistor (TFT) metre for more adaptability, one of which is a Rally Raid roadbook-style display for efficient navigation in the rear. Moreover, the left-side switch cluster has a trip switch.
Yamaha Tenere 700 Extreme: Price
Yamaha has not disclosed the Tenere 700 Extreme’s price, but they have confirmed that the new model—which will be offered in Icon Blue—will be available across Europe starting with the 2024 model year.
