Actor Vikram To Charge Rs 25 Crore For His Next? What We Know
Speculations are rife that Vikram, who usually charges Rs 23 crore for his films, has increased his fee by Rs 2 crore.

Actor Vikram’s next film was announced in December. Tentatively titled Chiyaan 62, the film will be directed by SU Arun Kumar, who recently earned the critically acclaimed for the successful film Chiththa, headlined by Siddharth. GV Prakash who earlier collaborated with actor Vikram in films like Thaandavam, and Dheiva Thirumagal and will also be joining hands with upcoming Thangalaan, has also signed this film. Amid the buzz around the film, reports have emerged suggesting that Vikram has hiked his fee for his upcoming films and the amount will leave you stunned.

Reportedly, Vikram has charged Rs 25 crore for Chiyaan 62. The actor, who usually charges Rs 23 crore for his films, has increased his fee by Rs 2 crore. Notably, the actor had shared a video of the upcoming film on his X handle as the announcement. Sharing the announcement video, he wrote, “Thrilled to unveil the much-awaited announcement video of my upcoming film alongside the incredible talents of #SUArunKumar, @gvprakash musical and @hr_pictures. Brace Yourselves.”

Looking at the video, it seems that ‘Chiyaan62’ is an action-crime-thriller-drama movie with a very rustic setting. It starts with police in the small town of Tiruttani which has held a bunch of wedding/festival musicians for some crime. The scene is followed by a woman entering the police station and asking them to file a complaint against those who assaulted her and her child. It proceeds with the actor bringing two assailants who are all battered and bruised. As the police try to stop Vikram from walking out of the police station, he whispers something in the police’s ears and leaves.

Dressed in a very simple shirt with a dhoti, Vikram exudes swag and attitude. The film is based on the rural setting with the actor essaying the role of a village macho-man.

In addition to the yet-to-be-titled film, Vikram also has Gautham Menon’s Dhruva Natchathiram and Pa Ranjith’s Thangalaan in his pipeline. He will also be seen in the epic RS Vimal’s Suriyaputra Mahavir Karna.
