Kannada actress and the daughter of actor Arjun Sarja, Aishwarya Arjun recently embarked on a new chapter as she exchanged rings with actor Umapathy Ramaiah. Umapathy is the son of renowned actor-director Thambi Ramaiah. The couple’s engagement ceremony was a private affair and it was held in Chennai last month. In a recent interaction with a media house, the cameraman named Advik Sudarshanan shared details of Aishwarya’s engagement ceremony. He said that Arjun sir was very happy as a father on his daughter’s engagement day and had even called an event management team from Bengaluru to organise the ceremony. He went on to reveal that Aishwarya instructed everyone about what she wanted. From the decoration, colour to the lights and cake, everything was done as per the actress’ choice.
Advik made several revelations about the ring that Aishwarya’s fiancé gave her at the ceremony. He said that the 5-carat blood ruby ring was imported from Burma. Though a simple design, the ring is a rare one with a price worth more than Rs 20 lakh.
Earlier, in an interview with ETimes, Thambi Ramaiah shared how Umapathy and Aishwarya’s relationship blossomed and how they decided to tie the nuptial knots. He revealed that they met each other when Umapathy participated as a contestant on the TV reality show, Survivor Tamil. The show was hosted by Arjun Sarja. Later, both the families met at a temple for the first time. Soon after the meeting, the couple decided to get engaged and preparations were begun.
The couple is yet to finalise their wedding date. They will soon make an official announcement about their wedding date, which is expected to take place in February 2024. Notably, Arjun Sarja directed the movie Prema Baraha in 2018 with Aishwarya in the lead role.
