Shiva Rajkumar, a renowned Kannada actor and producer, witnessed a significant moment as his daughter, Niveditha Shiva Rajkumar, entered the world of feature film production. On Thursday morning, the inaugural ceremony, including the traditional pooja and the commencement of shooting, took place for their film named Firefly. Both Shiva Rajkumar and his wife, Geetha, graced the launch pooja of the film and offered their blessings to the team.
The film team has achieved a significant milestone by successfully completing the shooting for the first phase. They have also shared some behind-the-scenes stills from the movie, offering fans a glimpse of the project’s progress. Additionally, a new update regarding the movie has been shared, adding to the anticipation surrounding this production.
Following a break, the team is gearing up to commence shooting for the second phase of the film. The production of Firefly is scheduled to resume during the third week of October.
Vamshi Krishna not only penned the script but also took on the roles of actor and director for the film. Niveditha Rajkumar, serving as the film’s producer, operates under her production banner, Shri Mutthu Cine Services. It’s worth noting that Dr. Rajkumar’s granddaughter, Niveditha, earned a Karnataka State Film Award for her portrayal of Chummy in the 1998 Kannada film Andaman when she was a child. She has since ventured into the field of production, establishing her own company and has successfully produced multiple web series as well.
Niveditha shared in an interview that Vamshi Krishna is a close friend of hers, and when he presented the script to her, she found it appealing. She added that she requested her father to hear the story, and he too was highly impressed. Interestingly, this marks the first occasion where her father has actively engaged with a script she has given the green light to.
When asked about the possibility of collaborating with her father, Niveditha expressed her enthusiasm, saying, “I would love to work with my dad! But my dad is occupied for the next four or five years, I believe, at this juncture. I still turn to him for guidance. His advice to me is to work diligently, stay humble, and not let success affect me. He advises me to do my work with honesty, assuring me that it will eventually yield results. It’s just typical dad advice.”
