Fighter Box Office Collection Day 2: Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer Fighter is getting an overwhelming response from the audience. The film, which opened at the box office with Rs 22.50 crore, saw a big jump in its collection on day two i.e. on Republic Day.
As reported by the industry tracker Sacnilk, early estimates suggest that Fighter saw a jump of over 77 per cent in its earnings on day two. The film earned Rs 39 crore on Friday, January 26. With this, the total collection of the Siddharth Anand directorial now stands at Rs 61.50 crore.
While morning shows of Fighter had an occupancy of 23.40 per cent, it increased to over 52 per cent during the evening shows.
Fighter is expected to bring in more audience over the extended weekend. The film has opened to good reviews. News18 gave the film a 4-star rating and said, “Phenomenally entertaining and consistently engaging, Fighter, for all the derivative genre components it compiles, is an action entertainer that crackles with energy.”
“Like the quintessential entertainer, Fighter serves up a little bit of everything in its narrative — action, drama, music, romance, and even emotions. The screenplay makes room for every commercial movie element. Fighter is a perfect popcorn entertainment thriller that plays to the gallery and lives up to the hype,” the review added.
Fighter has a run time of 2 hours and 46 minutes. The Central Board of Film Certification has also granted it a U/A certification to the film. Besides Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone, the film stars Anil Kapoor, Karan Singh Grover, Akshay Oberoi, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Talat Aziz, Pradum Shukla, and Pradum Jaykar in pivotal roles. The film marks Hrithik and Deepika’s third film with Siddharth Anand. Hrithik previously worked with the filmmaker in Bang Bang and War. Deepika had worked with him in Bachna Ae Haseeno and Pathaan.
