Murder Mubarak premiered on Netflix on March 15. Directed by Homi Adajania, the film offers movie buffs a cinematic experience filled with laughter, suspense, and surprising revelations. The murder mystery boasts an ensemble cast including Sara Ali Khan, Vijay Varma, Pankaj Tripathi, Dimple Kapadia, Sanjay Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Suhail Nayyar, Tisca Chopra, and Aashim Gulati. During the promotional spree of the film, Bollywood stars Sara Ali Khan and Vijay Varma spoke to ANI. They shared their experiences and spoke about their sizzling chemistry, that is making fans go gaga over them. While speaking with the news agency, Sara Ali Khan opened up about her experience working with Vijay for the first time. She said, “It was an absolute privilege. He is such an effortless actor and brings so much spontaneity to every scene. It wasn’t difficult to have chemistry with him because of the ease that Homi Sir created on set. Everyone was relaxed, professional, and totally in the scene.”
Sara Ali Khan went on to say that the chemistry people are appreciating is simply their attempt to do justice to what Bambi and Akash (their characters in the film) felt for each other. She shared that as soon as they heard ‘action’, they shifted from being Vijay and Sara to Bambi and Akash.
Vijay Varma shared his experience as well, stating that while it appears to be a simmering romance on-screen, they were quite the opposite on set. He never imagined that they could actually have a sizzling chemistry because they were always cracking jokes and goofing around with each other.
“But during one passionate, intense scene, when I least expected it, Sara was so deeply into her character, she pulled me in as well, and we gave a hot take! I realised that only when two actors share a comfortable bond and let go of their inhibitions can they create passion and chemistry. We are both super excited that now everyone’s talking about it. We finished the hot scene and went back to goofing around and leg pulling immediately,” he added.
On being asked about what audiences can expect from the film, Homi Adajania said, “It’s exciting to give our audiences a peek into the bizarre world of the Delhi Royal Club and its eccentric members in Murder Mubarak. This film is about a murder mystery that unravels many more mysteries once the investigation starts. It’s hilarious and captivating at the same time.”
