Amy Jackson, now happily engaged to her boyfriend and actor Ed Westwick, had earlier opened up about her previous relationships. The actress also shared how she will never stop believing in love and prioritizing her needs and wants before giving love a chance. We did a little digging and came across an old interview in which the actress opened up about the same.
Back in 2016, in an interview with Filmfare, Amy was asked about her failed relationships. The actress shared that she felt lonely, and it was her work and her films that made her’so much more alive’. “I felt lonely. My films made me feel so much more alive and satisfied than any person could make me feel. That made me realize I didn’t need any of this nonsense and heartbreak. Just do what you love,” she shared.
When asked if it has made her wary about giving love a chance, In the same interview, she shared, “I still believe in love. I can’t wait to fall in love some day. I like the feeling of being in love. I’m a hopeless romantic. But there comes a point where you realize what you deserve and what you want. Love isn’t always happy and lovely; it can be painful sometimes. It’s nice to be away from love for a while and focus on different emotions and what else one wants in life.”
Well, the actress has finally found her Mr.Perfect in Gossip Girl star Ed Westwick.
Earlier yesterday, Amy took to her Instagram handle to share the news of her engagement. She shared photos from Ed’s proposal in the mountains, leaving all her fans gushing over the sweet moment.
In one of the photos shared by Amy, she could be seen in shock as Ed proposed to her by going down on one knee. She also shared some happy photos of the two after the proposal. Ed proposed to Amy in Switzerland, amid snow-clad mountains. The actress captioned the post, “Hell yes.”
