Amitabh Bachchan Purchases 3 Properties In Mumbai For Rs 60 Crore; Details

Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan has paid approximately Rs 60 crore for three office spaces in Mumbai’s Veer Savarkar Signature building, according to papers obtained by the commercial real estate analytics website FloorTap.com.

These office spaces are located in the Signature Building in Mumbai’s Andheri West area, off of Veera Desai Road, according to the documents.

Big B reportedly paid Rs 59.58 crore for three office buildings totalling 8,429 square feet, according to the records.

As per reports, the sale deed was executed on June 20, 2024, and Amitabh Bachchan paid a stamp duty of Rs 3.57 crore for the transaction. Meanwhile, documents show that these business premises provide three parking spaces. Veer Savarkar Projects Private Limited was the one who sold the commercial property.

Amitabh Bachchan owns four office suites in the same Signature Building. He purchased these office spaces in August 2023. Furthermore, he rented out all four commercial premises of roughly 10,000 sqft in Mumbai’s Oshiwara region in December 2023 for Rs 2.07 crore per year and a security deposit of Rs 1.03 crore.

As per latest records, Amitabh Bachchan now owns seven office spaces in the Signature Building, having acquired three more commercial apartments.

The Signature Building in Andheri West appears to be popular among Bollywood celebs, as several of them hold business spaces there. Apart from Amitabh Bachchan, other Bollywood celebrities like Manoj Bajpayee, Kajol, Ajay Devgn, Kartik Aryan, and Sara Ali Khan have commercial units in this building.

Manoj Bajpayee and his wife Shabana Raza invested Rs 31 crore in four units at Signature Building in October last year. The property registration paperwork revealed that each unit cost Rs 7.77 crore and had a stamp duty of Rs 46.62 lakh.

Meanwhile, Kartik Aryan and Sara Ali Khan each possess one unit that is 2,099 square feet. While Sara Ali Khan and Amrita Singh paid Rs 9 crore for their flat in July 2023, Kartik Aryan paid Rs 10 crore for his apartment in September 2023. Aishwarya Property and Estates Private Limited served as the seller in both deals.

In July 2023, Kajol paid Rs 7.64 crore for a 194-square-metre commercial unit in the building. Ajay Devgn also owns 5 units in the building purchased in April 2023 for 45.09 crore.
