Thalapathy Vijay’s upcoming movie Leo is said to be one of the biggest releases of the year. Fans are buzzing with excitement, as the movie is gearing up to hit the big screens on October 19, 2023. A week ahead of its release, rumours were strife that this Lokesh Kanagaraj-movie would have early morning shows, starting from 4 am. Now, Tamil Nadu’s Minister of Information and Publicity, MP Saminathan cleared the air regarding the early morning shows. Recently, the Tamil Nadu government has passed an order, allowing theatres to hold just one extra special show of the movie. As per India Today, the minister in a press conference mentioned that there is no possibility of 4 am shows. One extra special show for six days, starting October 19, is permitted, as per the order passed by the state government. Now, after special consideration, the first show of Leo is scheduled at 9 am.
As Leo is all set to release on October 19, the Chennai Police has formed special teams to monitor and take action against those who violate the conditions imposed in the Government Order regarding the movie screening. As per the issuance of the order, the screening of Thalapathy Vijay’s movie can only commence from 9 am and go on till 1:30 am, from October 19 to October 24.
To screen the movie, the theatre owners have received special permission. They have been directed to ensure adequate security arrangements for the public, ensure ample vehicle parking space and free flow of traffic. The government and the police have also laid emphasis on not selling film tickets at exorbitant prices. If found doing so, immediate actions will be taken against theatre owners.
Leo marks the reunion of Lokesh Kanagaraj with Thalapathy Vijay, after their 2021 blockbuster movie titled Master. Leo will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada and Hindi languages. Thalapathy will be essaying the role of a family man residing in Kashmir. His past haunts him and there are a few people who want to seek revenge from him. The movie stars Trisha Krishnan, Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Sarja, Mansoor Ali Khan, Priya Anand, Mysskin and Gautham Vasudev Menon.
