With the prestigious 2023 ICC ODI World Cup underway, all eyes will definitely be on the hosts, India, who will aim to recreate their heroics from the 2011 World Cup. But for now, the Indian team travelled to Chepauk to prepare for their opening match. When the team reached Chennai, they were spotted wearing their new training kits.

As per the pictures going viral on social media, the members of Team India sported an orange-coloured kit in their first training session in Chennai. The kit is primarily orange in colour which resembles the colours worn by the Netherlands team.

Team India has primarily been wearing blue training kits for quite some time now. The Indian team were sporting blue training kits in the previous two editions of the World Cup
But they have also had a history of using other colours, especially in 2011 when the Indian cricket team were sporting a bright red training kit.

Orange might not be the colour you associate with India but it is a common practice to use different colours in the training kits especially in sports like football as well.
India also had a training kit with orange sleeves in 2018 as well.
The team have also used a primarily orange kit for their fixture against England in the 2019 World Cup where ICC mandated that India design an away kit for the particular fixture.
Some avid cricket followers had shared their thoughts on the new training kits for the Indian team.

This fan has brought in a a similarity from the 2011 World Cup winning campaign possibly hinting at the outcome of this particular edition.
India will begin their World Cup campaign at home against Australia which will take place in the M.A Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai which is also popularly known as Chepauk. India will look to get their campaign off with a win as they look to recreate the heroics of the Indian side that managed to win the World Cup in 2011.
