AUS W vs SA W, Day 3 Highlights: Check the scorecard for the third day of the one-off Test between Australia Women and South Africa Women taking place at the WACA ground in Perth.

Australia thumped South Africa by an innings and 284 runs Saturday in the first-ever women’s Test between the two countries, which saw records tumble.

The Australian women won the toss and opted to bowl first against the touring Protea women as the hosts bundled the hapless visitors for a mere total of 76 runs. Sune Luus was the top scorer for the South Africans with her 26 runs knock, while Darcie Brown starred for the Australian women with the ball in her hand as she picked up a five-wicket haul.

Annabel Sutherland picked up three wickets, while Tahlia McGrath snapped up two scalps of her own to wrap up the South African innings.

The South Africans had a good start with the ball as they dismissed Phoebe Litchfield early in the innings for just 4 runs, before sending Ellyse Perry and McGrath back to the ht in quick succession.

Opener Beth Mooney and skipper Alyssa Healy steadied the Australian innings as they put up a 155-run stand before Mooney was dismissed for 78 runs by Nadine de Klerk.

Healy went on to stay at the crease before missing out on her ton by just a single run as she was dismissed for 99 runs. But, Sutherland, who came on to replace Mooney played an awe-inspiring knock as she brought up her double-century.

The 22-year-old Sutherland made 210 runs with the willow while she received able support from Ashleigh Gardner, who made 65 runs before being castled by de Klerk, Sophie Molineaux, who chipped in with 33 runs before falling prey to Chloe Tryon, and Kim Garth, who remained unbeaten at 49 runs to take the Australian total to 575 for the loss of 9 wickets before declaring their innings.

Australia started troubling South Africa early on yet again in the second innings as Garth got rid of Annake Bosch and Luus early for a duck and 5 runs respectively before Darcie Brown sent Laura Woolvardt back t the hut for just 8 runs.

South Africa concluded Day 2 at 67 for the loss of 3 wickets.
