'Get Some Centuries': West Indies Legend Sir Wesley Hall Urges Virat Kohli to Find His Stride in T20 World Cup 2024

Legends collide when the biggest of teams come together, and that is exactly what transpired in Barbados on Tuesday, as the legendary West Indian Sir Wesley Hall graced the Indian training camp ahead of their Super Eight face-off vs Afghanistan, to gift skipper Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli with a surprise present.

Hall, famed as one of the fiercest pacer to ever play the game of cricket, was in attendance at Kensington Oval, Barbados where India’s preparations were in full flow for their initial Super Eight encounter.

The 86-year-old pacer took met up with the likes of Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, to have a brief conversation and presented them both with a copy of his book ‘Answering to the Call’ after their training session.

Hall also proceeded to heap praise on skipper Rohit Sharma, calling him a ‘great player’ as well as share a word with Kohli, requesting the talisman batter to score a century and get going to add to his record books.

“I’ve seen many great players bat, you’re right up there. I follow your stats, so I know you’re on some 80 centuries. Get some centuries,” stated Hall to Kohli.

Kohli though has had a tumultuous campaign so far in the T20 World Cup for India, struggling to get going in all three of his innings of 1, 4, and 0 so far.

But, both Kohli himself and India will be looking on at the talisman batter to once again find his footing and lead the way up front with Rohit Sharma, as India begin their Super Eight stages with an encounter against a fiery Afghanistan side, that has come to life in this edition of the T20 World Cup, on Thursday.
