IND vs ENG, 2nd Test: England Players, Fans Congratulate Yashasvi Jaiswal on His Innings After Dismissal
There was no denying the youngster of his due credit for the sensational innings, as the English players congratulated Jaiswal, one-by-one, after his dismissal enroute to the pavilion.

An innings that will not be forgotten anytime soon. Yashasvi Jaiswal dominated the English bowlers throughout his stellar innings of 209 runs, picking them apart at his own will, until he met his match against the legendary James Anderson.

Jaiswal played an exceptional knock enroute to his swashbuckling 209 runs from 290 balls, peppered with 19 fours and 7 sixes.

There was no denying the youngster of his due credit for the sensational innings, as the English players congratulated Jaiswal, one-by-one, after his dismissal enroute to the pavilion. And so did the supporters, who sent him off with a standing ovation.

The 22-year-old has tortured English bowlers galore, taking them on with ease, except for the likes of James Anderson, who has been in exceptional form himself.

In the delivery prior to his dismissal, Anderson bowled one wider outside the off-stump of Jaiswal, as a little cheeky tempter to get the youngster to attack.

After a little nod to the batter, Anderson got exactly what he aimed for, bowling yet another slightly outside-off and getting Jaiswal to sky one high to make it an easy catch for Jonny Bairstow.

41-year-old James Anderson has been arguably the pick of the bowlers so far for England, scalping three wickets so far a mere 47 runs in 25 overs.

As the sole pacer in the playing XI, it was imperative for the experienced Anderson to deliver for his skipper Ben Stokes. And deliver he has, scalping the likes of pivotal batters such as Shubman Gill and the ever-elusive Yashasvi Jaiswal along with R Ashwin.

Jaiswal got to his maiden double century in 277 balls with a fabulous sweep shot off debutant Shoaib Bashir.

With his double century, Jaiswal now becomes the fourth youngest Indian batter to reach the milestone in Test cricket at just 22 years and 37 days of age, and the fifth left-handed Indian batter to score the same in Tests.

Jaiswal did miss out on a hundred in the first innings of the opening Test in the Hyderabad Test but he showed tremendous composure in Vizag to breach the three-digit mark and has kept the momentum going to steer India to a big total all by himself, in an innings when India’s top-order otherwise misfired yet again.

India were bowled out for 396 runs in the first session of the second day of the second Test against England in Visakhapatnam.
