Rajasthan Royals – RR are currently placed second in the points table with 16 points.

With SRH’s massive win, CSK are now in a precarious position needing at least two wins from their remaining three games to confirm a playoff spot. The harrowing loss to SRH have dented LSG’s net run-rate significantly, and like DC they are left with two games, and wins in both games will be their priority. With the win over PABKS at Dharamsala, RCB kept their slim playoff chances alive and ended PBKS’ campaign. They are now left with two matches – both against higher-ranked opponents – DC and CSK. Their equation is single, win both game and reach 16 points and hope their net run-rate remains better than other teams would be tied on points with them. Lose to DC or CSK and that will be the end of the road for the Faf du Plessis-led this IPL season.

Mumbai Indians – MI are currently placed at the 8th spot in the points table with 8 points.

After SRH’s win over LSG, Mumbai Indians officially become the first team to be eliminated from the IPL 2024 playoff race. With two games remaining MI can reach a maximum of 12 points, same as the current fourth-placed team in the points tally – CSK. But CSK have three games remaining, even if CSK go on to lose their last three games, one of DC and LSG are guaranteed to finish with at least 14 points as they are taking on each other. In that case, MI do not have a mathematical possibility of making the top 4 even if they win their remaining two games.
Punjab Kings – PBKS are currently 9th in the points table with 8 points

The 60-run loss to RCB at Dharamsala leaves PBKS with no chance to qualify for playoff in IPL 2024. Enduring their 8th loss in 12 matches, PBKS can now potentially reach 12 points if they will their final two games, but that will nor be enough for them to crack the top 4.
Gujarat Titans – GT are currently placed 10th in the points table with 8 points

With three games remaining, Gujarat’s aim will be to win all and reach 14 points. From there on it will be up to the results of other matches going their way for them to have a chance at playing their third straight playoff. NRR will also come into play if they are tied on points with other teams, and unfortunately for the Shubman gill-led side, their NRR is not in their favour currently.
