SRH's skipper Pat Cummins will take on the Chennai Super Kings where he will be tested with MS Dhoni still going strong with both bat and on the field.

The Sunrisers Hyderabad face their next big test as they take on the Chennai Super Kings. One big factor Pat Cummins’ side will have to tackle is the intellect of the legend himself, MS Dhoni. Speaking in a recent interview with Star Sports, Cummins had a simple answer on what his role is going to be as the skipper of SRH and how he would tackle someone like Dhoni. He responded by saying,” My main job as a captain is to get the best out of our guys so obviously looking at the opposition a little bit and seeing what they’re doing but I don’t think I’m going to try and outsmart someone like MSD”.

The Australian World Cup-winning captain has been widely appreciated for his leadership skills leading the Aussies to their sixth title, beating the hosts India at Ahmedabad. Since then he was bought by the Hyderabad-based franchise for a whopping price of INR 20.5 crores.

However, that game remains their only win in the three games played. As far as Cummins’ philosophy as a captain is concerned it is once again put forward in a very simple manner. The Aussie commented,” Try and play your best and bring the best out of the guys and hopefully, it works”.

Nothing new, we are just going to try our best. T20 is a hard format, you have some amazing wins and you have some tough losses which I am sure we will have this season but we want to give it our best shot and go and win the IPL this year.”
