Kohli was asked what makes him bring out the best in his game in every game. To which he replied saying that he does not want to leave any undone business behind.

Virat Kohli is already a modern-day great and considered by many as the greatest of all time and in this social media era there is little dispute about his stature as one of the most polarizing figures in cricket. Since his international debut in 2008, Kohli has gone on to shatter records and rewritten many more and there seems to be no stopping him right now. In the IPL 2024, the 35-year-old is the current Orange Cap holder and will be India’s batting lynchpin in the upcoming T20 World Cup 2024. But it has to come to an end, someday. And Virat Kohli reckons he does not want to have any regrets when his career ends.

In a promotional video shared by RCB’s social media handle, Kohli was asked what makes him bring out the best in his game in every game. To which he replied saying that he does not want to leave any undone business behind.

“I think, as sportsmen, we do have an end date to our careers, so I’m just working backwards. I don’t want to finish my career thinking, oh, what if I had done this on that particular day? Because I can’t keep going on and on forever, so it’s just about not leaving any undone business behind and not have any regrets later, which I’m very sure of. I won’t.”

Kohli also went on to reveal that once he calls time on his career, he will be gone for a while from the public glare and he wasn’t to give everything every time till the time he plays.

“Once I’m done, I’ll be gone. You won’t see me for a while, so I want to give it everything I have till the time I play. And that’s the only thing that keeps me going. Now, delivering in ten minutes,” said Kohli.

Kohli is the runaway leader in the Orange Cap list for IPL 2024 with 661 runs in 13 matches, striking at 155.16 while RCB are in with a chance to qualify for the IPL 2024 playoffs. They need to beat CSK in their final league game by a margin of 18 runs (if they score 200), while they need to chase down a target of 200 in less than 18.1 overs to surpass CSK in the points table.
