Royal Challengers Bengaluru are set to play their fourth game of the IPL 2024 as they will be hosting Lucknow Super Giants at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium tonight. After losing the opening game against defending champions Chennai Super Kings, RCB bounced back with a win in their second game against the Punjab Kings by four wickets. RCB were, however, handed an absolute demolishing and demoralising defeat by Kolkata Knight Riders, losing the game by seven wickets. RCB now need a win as they cannot avoid further slip-ups, having already lost two of their opening three games. But in LSG, they will be facing a team that looks much more balanced on paper.

They put in a spirited performance against PBKS in their first home game to register a 21-run victory. The highlight from that game was the debut of 21-year-old right-arm quick Mayank Yadav, who took three wickets and gave away just 27 runs. He even bowled the quickest delivery of the IPL 2024, so far, at 155.8 km/h.
