Indian cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar has revealed on social media that his foundation was working alongside a health organisation in Kashmir to help treat babies born with deformities. Apart from being one of the greatest cricketers in history, Sachin is also known for supporting several charities through his foundation popularly known as the Sachin Tendulkar Foundation or STF. The India great is currently enjoying a trip in Kashmir but he did manage to make time to interact with several folks at the Inga Health Foundation Hospital. In his post on X, Sachin wrote, “One of the centres we have been supporting is in Srinagar. During our trip to Jammu & Kashmir, we spent time in Inga Health Foundation’s hospital, interacting with doctors, children and their parents”.

In his post, Sachin Tendulkar also talked about how he and his family were touched by the stories of how the surgery had brought a big change in the lives of the affected children. He further mentioned how his wife Anjali and daughter Sara Tendulkar were all smiles to meet the little ones. “Listening to the stories of how the surgery has transformed the lives of these children was indeed gratifying. Anjali, Sara and I were all smiles after meeting these little heroes,” Sachin said.
Sachin Tendulkar has been quite active during his ongoing Kashmir trip, constantly updating fans about his activities. The former cricketer first shared an update on his travel last week on February 20, Tuesday where he was spotted inside an aeroplane. Following that, Sachin shared a sneak peek into his visit to a bat manufacturing unit in Charsoo which was located on the Srinagar-Jammu highway. The factory was famous for making Kashmir willow bats. The Tendulkar family had stopped at the location and also exchanged a few words with the workers who were present there.
This is not the first time we have seen Sachin Tendulkar trying to make a difference in the community off the cricket pitch. Last year, Sachin teamed up with the United Nations Children’s Emergency Fund (UNICEF) to help provide nutrition and education to children in Sri Lanka. The ex-cricketer had interacted with many kids in Ayubowan. On Instagram, Sachin talked about how the school that he was visiting at the time preached compassion towards all human beings. He was also spotted alongside David Beckham during the 2023 ODI World Cup, promoting UNICEF’s campaign in India.
