T20 World Cup 2024, IND vs PAK: AP Dhillon Entertains New York Crowds Ahead to the Big Clash Between Arch-Rivals - WATCH

The highly anticipated India vs Pakistan match for the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 has gotten underway at the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium in New York. But ahead of the game, the Indian fans at the Big Apple were able to see one of their favourites, AP Dhillon who was present at the ground and even had a brief performance as well.

Just before the game, the Indo-Canadian singer, rapper and record producer has been one of the nation’s hot-selling artists with various records going viral. His performance surely lit up the crowd to give them some entertainment considering that the game was interrupted on multiple occasions.

After the toss took place, it was Pakistan who won the toss and opted to field first in their first game at New York. Despite rain interrupting the game once again, they were able to put up a sensational bowling performance right from the get-go.

Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma were not able to do much at the bat which led to Axar Patel being promoted to number 4. The Indian team struggled to find partnerships but still, Rishabh Pant was able to score a valiant 42 off 31 which included some fine unorthodox shots along with some luck.

Axar Patel was able to chip in with 20 runs but fell before he got himself going. The remaining batters also struggled with Hardik Pandya left to do the scoring in the final five overs without a specialist batter with him.

India’s performance with the bat will ring alarm bells as they were unable to adapt to how the wicket played out when they were asked to bat first. They will hope to put up a better batting performance if they are to put in that title charge to end their long-standing title drought.
