Kohli is likely to make a comeback for India in the upcoming two-match Test series against Bangladesh, which is set to start on September 19 in Chennai.

Virat Kohli top-scored for India in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 final played against South Africa in Barbados on June 29, 2024, and helped Men in Blue end the 11-year-long wait for an ICC title. After becoming the second cricketer in history to win all three ICC white-ball trophies, the former Indian captain announced his retirement from the shortest format of the game.

Kohli then played for India in the three-match ODI series against Sri Lanka last month during Gautam Gambhir’s first assignment as head coach, but was unable to do much with the bat, and as a result, India lost a bilateral ODI series against Sri Lanka for the first time in the last 27 years.

Even though Kohli was not able to score big runs in the ODI series, he managed to make his presence felt on the field, and now an unseen video of him performing some hilarious dance moves has surfaced on the internet, which is winning the hearts of Indian fans.

In the opening seconds of the video, Kohli can be seen jogging down a flight of staircases wearing the Indian jersey. His arrival sparked a loud cheer from the fans. Kohli kept moving before starting to dance as he slowly walked towards captain Rohit Sharma, who was near the boundary ropes alongside other teammates. The Indian skipper was providing some instructions to his teammates as Kohli hopped into the discussion.

Kohli, who last played a competitive match on August 7 in Colombo, is in London these days with his family. He is expected to make a comeback for Team India during the two-match Test series against Bangladesh later this month.

The first Test of the bilateral series between India and Bangladesh is set to take place at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai from September 19, and Green Park Stadium in Kanpur will host the second and final red-ball match from September 27.

It was reported that he will take part in the Duleep Trophy 2024 as well, along with Indian captain Rohit Sharma and other senior players, but was not named in any of the four squads announced by the BCCI on August 14.
