Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir’s heated on-field exchange has been one of the biggest talking points since IPL 2023 and the build-up of the Royal Challengers Bengaluru vs Kolkata Knight Riders clash that was held on Friday was expected to be a tense considering the two stalwarts were to face off on the field for the first time since last season.
They did come face to face but this time, it was all about mutual respect. Kohli and Gambhir approached each other during a strategic time-out on Friday night, shared a hug, exchanged a few words to bury the hatchet. The meetup has brought an end to their heated rivalry, for now.
The visuals of the two greeting each other during the match expectedly went viral with the likes of Sunil Gavaskar and Ravi Shastri having their unique takes.
Shastri wanted KKR to be given the Fair Play Award for the hug between the two while Gavaskar went a step ahead and demanded an Oscar!
Now, a fresh, brief footage has emerged of Kohli and Gambhir from their post-match meeting wherein the two shook hands and again hugged each other.

Gambhir-Kohli IPL 2023 Flare-up
Gambhir was associated with Lucknow Super Giants as their mentor till the last season before leaving the franchise to join KKR. During a contest between LSG and RCB, Kohli was confronted by Gambhir one the former’s exchange with Naveen-ul-haq and Kyle Mayers after the end of the contest.
