Speaking ahead of the game against India, the former New Zealand international now representing the USA, Corey Anderson opened up about the time he saw Bumrah being brought into the Mumbai Indians camp.

Anderson was part of the MI camp from 2014-2016 and saw a young Jasprit Bumrah who was a shell of the bowler he is currently and the American international revealed that he had a soft spot for the current Indian ace.

“I’ve got a bit of a soft spot for Bumrah. I think I was at Mumbai when he was first introduced to MI, and watching him develop from this raw natural talent to one of the best bowlers in the world has been amazing. It’s cool to see that progress throughout because you see the things they talk about early in their careers, and how they gain experience,” Anderson said.
